The Marecchia and Conca Valleys are the lands of authentic hospitality, here the musts are quality and togetherness, a daily ritual that the people of Romagna perform for themselves but love to share with their guests.
On the hills many houses, once entrusted to the homely welcome of the “Azdora”, have been transformed into Agriturismo or Bed and Breakfasts, which offers – in addition to comfortable accommodation often surrounded by nature – the pleasure of feeling cared, especially if seated around a well laid table.
Between Valmarecchia and Valconca it is possible to taste the best of Romagna’s cuisine and products. From starred restaurants to small “trattoria”, everything here is typical and authent. The presence of numerous excellent products, from wine to oil, from meat to bread, allows tourists and excursionists to enjoy the best typical products. In every corner of these valleys it is possible to taste homemade pasta made with local flour, drink the wines of Coriano and its surroundings (that some daring chronicler calls the Montalcino of Romagna) and taste the DOP extra virgin olive oil of the Hills of Romagna. And then honey, the fine meat of “Mora Romagnola” pork or beef, the famous Fossa cheese of Talamello (Ambra di Talamello) or Mondaino, the bread of Maiolo, white and black truffles in Sant’Agata Feltria, “prugnolo” mushrooms in Pennabilli and the fresh “raviggiolo” cheese in Casteldelci, usually presented lying on fern branches.
Wineries, cheese factories, oil mills and breeding farms can be visited thanks to the presence of specialized personnel and the possibility of tasting the various products.
